Sorry everyone, we have not posted in a long time. I just remembered to ask Tom to show me for the 30th time how to post. It is never hard, but I always forget.
Tom is loving his new job and we are all loving the book benefits that come with it.
I am loving my job and the kids keep me busy. I have almost finished my first year as full time teacher since Keira was born. I got a letter saying that my Masters degree is in the mail, so I should be able to post a hurray on that soon.
Keira is busy as ever and growing every day. She is learning lots of new phrases from the older kids at her school as you can imagine. She moved up to the big kid classroom and has come home playing “bad guys” and princess. Ah yes, we now have a big kid. She will be more than ready to join me at my school come September.
We will try to keep our photos updated a little better.
Enjoy

How time goes by so fast, I don’t know. We had a great second birthday for Keira. Smaller than her first, as it should be, and full of great friends. Tom made some great ribs and pasta salad and of course for the kids a fruit salad. We had wonderful weather and I think Keira had fun. She was a little nervous about singing the happy birthday song, but was very interested in her balloons.
So now we get to watch her go from 2 to 3. I can not imagine how much she is going to change over this next year.
I am done with my time in Baltimore finally. Have been putting that off for five years now, so at least it is over. I have seen two of my grades from the classes that I finished, an A and a B. So still rocking almost a 4.0 g.p.a. for my Masters. Only one more class (the two papers) and I am done done done. Now I just have to find the will power to do those.
Enjoyed the past two weeks being home with my family again. I go back to All Roads for two weeks of subbing and then start at West Hills. I hope I am ready for this new classroom. I know I will be fine, but it is always an adventure getting to know all these new personalities. By the end of October, I should be fine.
Summer update as of now. It is almost over already.

I downloaded a few new pictures of Keira at school. They are mixed in with our 18-24 month album because they are sort by date. So look through and enjoy. She still is the baldest kid at school even with all her new hair.

Keira continues to talk up a storm. She is starting to have enough words in her vocabulary to tell me stories about her day and I can understand what she means. With this fun also comes the not so great part of her telling us what she doesn’t want.
Keira is using the bathroom more and more which is leading to less diaper changes. This is good for all of us. However, the smart little kid discovered that when it is time for bed if she says “pee” we get to leave her room and walk to the potty. After about the third time I realized that maybe she is just trying to avoid going to bed.
Last week we went to the beach for a day trip, she loved it so much that I think we need to get out there for the weekend. She also found out the hard way that she gets car sick after a long drive on a winding road.
This weekend we are getting dirt for our garden. I am hoping that we can also soon get our yard all fixed. I am going to try to talk Tom into letting me remove the other Yucca plant from our front yard and replace it with grass seed. If I do all the work I don’t see a problem.
I wish we had a truck sometimes. We have so much yard debris piling up in our backyard. I keep overfilling our yard debris container and then we have to dump it out. Anyone with a truck want to come visit us (hint hint Dennis!!!).
Ok, I guess that is all. More later.

Busy weekend for the Coyle family here. We started yesterday putting in the boarder for our garden in the front yard. We made good progress and decided to finish today. Tom picked up more rocks and soil to finish the boarder along the side and to get the garden bed ready for some new plants. While tom finished laying the stones, I raked up those awful cedar bark chips and got them ready for compost. We are going to try to turn the garden over by next weekend and then get some new beautiful plants for the front of our house.
Tom also today went out and got a model airplane to fly. As many of you remember the airplane that took six months to build and had a very short flying time. Well this one was built in five minutes and we walked down to the park by our house and watched it fly. I took a short video but ran out of space on the camera. I will post the video and some pictures under pictures 2009/2010. When we get the garden done I will post some pictures of that too.

Ok, just for those of you who don’t live in Portland. Today I went to the park with Keira and the trees had flowers on them, there were flowers blooming in flower beds. Is it just me or does it seem a little early for all of this? Not going to complain, but I was not ready to start working out in the garden yet. Hopefully there will not be a major frost and kill everything.
Oh yes, other GREAT news. Our neighbors house finally sold. Yes the dogs that bark all the time and destroy the house are gone!!!! Lets just hope the house gets fixed up and great new neighbors move in.

Just wanted to say that I feel lucky to have two people in my life that I really love. They both do amazing things everyday. Tom and Keira thank you for coming into my life. You have made me a wife and mother and a better person because of it. Happy love day everyday.

Well the holidays are over. We don’t have another vacation to look forward to until Spring Break. Ahhh, the good and the bad about being a teacher.
The holidays were wonderful. Thank you to my parents who came all the way out from Idaho (and who thankfully did not hit snow on their drive). They got Keira some wonderful presents and babysat for Tom and I one night so we could have a date. We got to spend a lot of time watching Keira play with her new toys and took lots of naps.
We returned to our classrooms and jobs Monday. I think we were pretty ready for the return of a schedule, although I wouldn’t mind sleeping in. But I guess that didn’t happen even when I was on vacation. Keira has been hitting somewhat of a language explosion, copying almost everything you say. I give her a few months before I am having real conversations with the child.
But the big news, the biggest news is we had another baby. She came to us blue and shiny and nice heated seats. Of course I am speaking of our new family car. Tom and I were in need of this car in a big bad way. My car had been falling apart for some time. And as I purchased the car 8 years ago for $1000. 00 I think I have gotten its value out of it. But I think it is time for it to move on to greener pastures. We are all enjoying the safety and comfort of our new car and can not wait to show it off to more friends and family.
I am going to add a new folder (or try to) of pictures to our photo gallery for pictures and videos that happened during the year that are not related to Keira. Whats that you say? Not related to Keira? Everything is? Well, yes. That is true, but there are some things that I have not posted because I didn’t really know where to put them, so there it is.

Today Tom and I went out and completed (to the best of our knowledge) our Christmas shopping. With great gifts from family either already here (thank you Tyler and Mrs. Coyle) or on their way; Tom and I didn’t have to get the little girl much.
So here is what we bought her for her second Christmas on Earth. A play kitchen (which we are putting together tonight just to make sure we have all the pieces, but it is then going into the garage until the big day), some legos (she is after all Tom’s daughter), a cd called Here Comes Science, a broom (yes I am a Montessori teacher), stacking blocks, and some toys for her kitchen. I think that is all a girl who doesn’t know what is going on can ask for. She is going to have so much fun with all of this stuff. I may need to think about boxing up some of her baby toys.
I made some other gifts which I am happy with, and I am thinking of making some bread for our neighbors. Look at me trying to be all domestic and stuff.
Well Happy Holidays
